Sunday Heating Oil Delivery on Long Island & Queens
Most heating oil companies close their phone lines on Sunday. Domino Fuel does not. We answer the phone every Sunday of the year and deliver oil the same day, on the same four hour emergency window we honor the other six days. 24/7, since 1981.
Heating Oil Does Not Care What Day It Is
The cold weather that pushes a household into a heating oil runout happens disproportionately on weekends. Families are home all day, the thermostat runs longer, last-minute laundry and showers stack up. By Sunday afternoon the tank is empty, the burner is off, and most heating oil companies have a recorded message that says "call back Monday."
Monday is too late. The pipes are not on Monday's schedule. Domino Fuel built Sunday heating oil delivery into the standard service because forty-five years of running routes on Long Island taught us that Sunday is when the calls come in.
What Sunday oil delivery looks like at Domino Fuel:
- The dispatch desk is staffed and answers the phone the same way it does on Tuesday at 11am
- Trucks are on the road on Sunday routes, not parked at the depot
- The four hour emergency window is honored the same way on Sunday as any weekday
- The price you hear on the phone is the price you pay per delivery, same as any weekday call
- Drivers prime the burner if the tank ran fully dry, same as a weekday call
Every Holiday, Without Exception
If the calendar has a holiday on it, our trucks have a route on it. The exception is the rule: we are open.
Thanksgiving
Houses full of guests, ovens running, heat blasting. We answer the phone Thanksgiving Day and the long weekend that follows.
Christmas Eve and Day
The two heaviest residential oil days on the calendar. Trucks rolling, dispatch staffed, four hour emergency window honored.
New Year’s Eve and Day
A cold New Year’s morning runout is one of the most common emergency calls we take. We answer.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day & Presidents Day
Both fall in the coldest stretch of the season. Sunday routes plus holiday routes. Same dispatch line, same response window.
Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day
Spring and summer emergency oil calls are rare but real. Vacation properties, pool heat, hot water tanks. We deliver on every long weekend.
Every other Sunday in between
Not just the ones on the wall calendar. Every Sunday, all 52, every year, since 1981.
How Sunday Heating Oil Delivery Works
Same three steps as any other day. That is the point.
Call any hour, any Sunday
A dispatcher answers the phone. Sunday morning, Sunday afternoon, Sunday night. Tell us the address and the gallons you want.
Hear the Sunday price
You get the full per-gallon rate and the order total. The Sunday number is the actual number you will pay per delivery. No after-hours line item appears on the receipt.
Same-day Sunday delivery
A truck rolls out on Sunday and arrives the same day. Four hour emergency window applies if the house is currently cold.
What Sunday Oil Delivery Actually Costs
Heating oil prices change daily based on market conditions. When you call to order Sunday delivery, we tell you the full per-gallon rate and the total order amount at the time of the call. The number we say on the phone is the number you pay per delivery.
Our Sunday operating costs are real and they are part of the per-gallon rate you hear. The full price is on the phone before the truck rolls. We bake everything into the rate up front because every other approach is the kind of surprise that loses a customer for a generation.
Minimum order on Sunday is the same 25 gallons we offer the rest of the week. Most heating oil companies that do offer Sunday service still demand a 100 or 150 gallon order. We will deliver 25.
Why a Heating Oil Company Should Be Open Sundays
Domino Fuel has been a family-owned heating oil delivery company since 1981. Forty-five years of weekends teaches you what your neighbors actually need.
Runouts happen on weekends
Statistically, residential heating oil runouts cluster on Saturday and Sunday. Closing the phone on Sunday is closing the phone on most of the people who need you.
We live where you live
Family-owned and operated on Long Island for three generations. Open Sundays is not a strategy. It is what neighbors do for neighbors in February.
Honest Sunday pricing
The promise of Sunday delivery means nothing if the price changes between the call and the receipt. We hold the price we said on the phone, every single time.
Licensed and insured
Fully licensed in New York State and fully insured, including on Sunday and holiday routes. Same drivers, same trucks, same accountability.
Sunday Heating Oil Delivery Questions
Yes. Every Sunday of the year, including Easter, Mother's Day, and Christmas Sundays. Dispatch staffed, trucks rolling, four hour emergency window honored.
The per-gallon rate you hear when you call already reflects what it costs us to run Sunday routes. The number on the phone is the number on the receipt.
Same-day Sunday delivery is standard. For emergency Sunday calls where the house is already cold, our target dispatch window is four hours, identical to a weekday emergency.
25 gallons. Same minimum that applies on a weekday. We do not raise the floor just because it is the weekend.
Yes. Cash or major credit or debit card. We do not require account setup or credit check for Sunday or any other day.
Same dispatch line, same response window, same pricing. Christmas Sunday is exactly the same operation as the Sunday before it.
