Same Day Heating Oil Delivery in Levittown, NY
Same day heating oil delivery to Levittown, NY since 1981, with a 25 gallon minimum, 24/7 dispatch, and a 4 hour emergency response window.
The Town That Defined the Suburb. Still Heated by Oil.
William Levitt and his brother Alfred built Levittown between 1947 and 1951 on what had been Hempstead Plains potato farms. The original development was 17,447 homes, every one of them built to the same handful of floor plans, and the heating spec for most of them was oil. Three quarters of a century later, a meaningful share of those homes are still on oil, and a meaningful share of the oil tanks have been there long enough to predate the homeowner.
Levittown sits in the Town of Hempstead, between Hempstead Turnpike and the Wantagh State Parkway. Newbridge Road is the spine running north-south, Division Avenue cuts the development in half, and the original cape cod footprints fan out from those arteries on the curved residential streets that were a Levitt signature. Most lots are 60 feet wide. Most original driveways are narrow.
What that geography means for a heating oil delivery company:
- The houses are clustered, which is efficient for routing. A driver can fill four tanks in three hours without rolling far.
- The driveways are tight, which is why our trucks are sized for residential streets, not commercial yards.
- The tanks tend to be older. A lot of basement 275-gallon steel tanks in town are second-generation. A few are still original to the build year.
- Owners often catch the float gauge later than newer homes because the basements stay warm and the burner barely ticks until February.
What Our Drivers Know About Levittown
Forty-five years of routes through the same streets adds up to a different kind of service than a brand-new company can deliver.
Capes and ranches, 1947 to 1951
The housing stock is unusually uniform. Once a driver has filled one Levittown cape cod, the second is a mirror image, including the location of the fill pipe and the layout of the basement tank.
Original-era oil tanks
Many of the tanks in town are 30 to 70 years old. We inspect the tank exterior, the fill pipe, and the vent before connecting. If a tank looks compromised, we tell the homeowner before the pump runs.
Narrow driveways and tight streets
The Levitt street grid is famously residential. Trucks are sized for it. Drivers know which blocks to back-in from the cross street and which require a turnaround at the end.
Spine routes off Newbridge and Division
The east-west routing across town runs off Hempstead Turnpike and Old Country Road. The north-south spine is Newbridge Road. We organize the day around those arteries and back into the residential streets from there.
Winter storm response
Levittown drainage and street width make some side streets a problem after heavy snow. Drivers know which blocks are plowed last and route accordingly when there is weather on the ground.
Address records on repeat customers
Where we have delivered before, the truck has the tank location on file. A second-time customer in Levittown does not need to describe the basement layout twice.

The Same Trucks. The Same Streets. Forty-Five Years.
Most heating oil delivery companies that take a Levittown order are running the route for the first time. They look the address up on a tablet, route the truck on a generic map, and hope the driveway clears the bumper. We have been delivering on these streets continuously since 1981. The driver who shows up on Wantagh Avenue this winter has probably been turning around at the same dead end since Reagan's first term.
That tenure shows up in three ways the homeowner notices: a tighter ETA on the call back, faster pours on the first delivery because the tank location is already known, and a driver who can flag a 70-year-old tank that should be inspected before the next fill rather than after.
